Youth Matters

For Young People Throughout Kirkcudbright

Youth Matters was created because we believe that young people should have their chance to have their say in important matters in the community.

This is a place for young people to share their views and comments on issues which affect you in Kirkcudbright and wider issues which influence all young people.

In this section

  • Youth Parliament - The Scottish Youth Parliament (for ages 14-25) allows young people to debate and discuss issues across the region and to have their taste of a young parliament.
  • YSEG - The Youth Strategy Executive Group is for ages 12-25 which encourages all young people to share their opinions and ideas. They have regular meetings to discuss these issues and always welcome new members.
  • Health Board Elections - For the first time Dumfries and Galloway are holding Health Board Elections and 16 and 17 year olds are allowed to stand and vote!
  • Have Your Say - How you can get involved, and what is out there for young people?
